God is bigger than the boogyman...

Let me explain...

This past summer my son was in the hospital for about 12 days.. 4 of them in ICU. They didnt expect him to live through the night....but GOD is bigger than illness! Due to this illness there has been alot of anxiety in our family -- mainly me and my son. We are working through a lot in therapy but we have just started that journey!

Jon-Collin is going for his first Boy Scout camp out this weekend since being home from the hospital. Yes it has been 5 months... but I have been by his side almost every day since. Needless to say, he is excited and I find myself praying alot! He is getting his first class rank, which means he is well on his way to Eagle scout within the next few years. I know and trust that my son is in God's hands... It is so hard for me to let go.... I keep telling myself God is bigger than THAT...then the vegie tales song starts ringing through my head... God is bigger than the boogyman!

You dominated the basketball court.. you have really become a GREAT basketball player. You made 12 out of the 22 points!! You guys lost in the last 24 seconds of the game... but you guys PLAYED SOME GREAT BALL!! I am so proud of you!

NOT AGAIN!!!

Yes AGAIN!! Another ICE STORM! This is the 3rd one since 2000! Can you believe it. This time around (3rd times a charm right..) we are READY.. Flash lights - check, candles - check, extra food - check, extra toilet paper - check check! We havent lost our power yet although there are people in town that have. The last one back in 2006 we lost our electricity for 10 days! Thank the LORD we had a gas hook up for a heater! We have it all ready to go just in case. The kiddos are out of school - work has shut down - and now all I want to do is EAT! hahahaha... I will keep everyone up to date on the condition here and take some great pictures.

Joshua is a very kind hearted boy, he has a laugh that lights up the room - You always know where Joshua is because you can hear him - talking loudly, laughing loudly. He is very funny and likes to pull jokes on people. He is into electronics like his dad and you will never see him without his laptop. We dont get to see him as much as we want. But when we do we try and make the best of it.

All of these pictures represent who my son is. He has such a contagious smile, a kind heart, and a teenagers smart mouth hahahaha. I dont know WHERE he comes up with the smart mouth! He is so athletic and never gives up on anything until he has mastered it. A quality I wish I had.
